ALEXANDRA TSOUKALA

 Τhe designer, Alexandra Tsoukala, has been active since 1992, designing and creating handmade lighting, furniture, utilitarian art objects, and fashion accessories in her studio, "Minimum Design". Her design philosophy focuses on the essence, the honesty of materials, and absolute functionality, rejecting "fake" impressions and overconsumption. Every object is created with the concept of the minimum—possessing strictly and only what is necessary for its construction. Drawing inspiration primarily from the properties of the materials themselves, colors, and everyday experiences, she works empirically, shaping the forms of her creations in real-time. This authentic, hands-on approach—which often transforms simple materials, like pleated fabric, into innovative, three-dimensional creations with unique light and shadow effects—has earned her international recognition. Today, her works are available in select stores worldwide, as well as in 90 museum shops across major museums in Europe and America, while her work has been honored with the "Certificate of Excellence" at the "Form 2008" competition of the Tendence exhibition in Frankfurt for the "CLIT" lamp.
